Vital Statistics of Manitoba Civil Registration began in Manitoba in 1882. They keep records and registries of all births, deaths, marriages and stillbirths that take place in Manitoba. Manitobans or their representatives (for example, lawyers) can get certificates or certified copies of these records.

The United Church of Canada - The Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario Conference Archives holds records of Methodist, Presbyterian, and Congregational Churches within the region prior to 1925, and of The United Church of Canada after 1925.
