Church Records are another source of birth at least baptism records and marriages.

The United Church of Canada - The Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario Conference Archives holds records of Methodist, Presbyterian, and Congregational Churches within the region prior to 1925, and of The United Church of Canada after 1925.  This is the location of older records for the Hamiota churches. As noted on the web page – you need to make an appointment to use these archives.

Hamiota Anglican Church – began in 1884 in Hamiota. The parishes that they have been associated with over the years has varied.  Ecclesiastical Province of Rupert's Land, Diocese of Brandon Canon Paul Curtis, Parish of St. James, Rivers, Christ Church, Hamiota, and St. Luke's, Strathclair is its present status.

Hamiota Pentecostal Church has been in existence in Hamiota since 1944.

Roman Catholic Church – closest is Shoal Lake or Rivers, Manitoba
